I apologize in advance for having to send you this message.
Your Sovereign Artist Paid Membership has been canceled. This was due to a problem on the Substack side combined with how we originally set up the account.
Long story short - you will be getting a refund for your unused time and, if you would like to remain a paid Sovereign Artist Club member, you'll have to sign up and pay again. I am so sorry, we did this now before the club gets bigger.
What happened is this - we connected our original Stripe account to Substack to handle payments. That original account is under the name "BoldBrush." That means on your credit card statement, your Sovereign Artist Club membership would read "BoldBrush" which we think will be confusing to people.
Initially Substack told us that they could migrate any paid subscriptions to a new Stripe account which we got around to doing this week. The new account is under the name "Sovereign Artist", which means on your credit card statement (should you choose to sign up again), your charge will read "Sovereign Artist" - which makes sense, especially for artists who aren't familiar with the fact that FASO,BoldBrush and Sovereign Artist are all related.
Turns out - Substack told us wrong. They could not migrate the subscriptions to a different Stripe account, and the only way to fix the issue before it got even worse was to just wipe out the existing subscriptions and start over with a new Stripe account.
We have everything set and configured correctly now.
So long story short:
1. Your subscription was cancelled due to what I described above
2. You will be refunded for unused time
3. If you want a paid Sovereign Artist subscription, you'll have to sign up again (I'm sorry about that)
I hope you will choose to sign up again and, if not, you still are subscribed as a free member.
So sorry for this inconvenience.
If you have any issues or questions, feel free to reach out to me directly.
Sincerely,
Clint Watson
