Summary:  I'm starting a new blog and email newsletter on art, marketing and life.

Years ago, I started blogging just to find out "what blogging was all about."

That original blog eventually grew into the FineArtViews newsletter (which, amazingly, now has almost 21,000 artists subscribing!) and, indeed, for years the FineArtViews blog was hosted on my own personal domain.  In those early days, there was little difference between my own personal thoughts and the "official" articles on FineArtViews.

Eventually, FineArtViews grew up attracted better writers, moved to it's own professional domain, and now, everything is right with the world.....except one thing....I no longer have a place to offer my own, raw, less-polished musings about the art world.

While I still contribute to FineArtViews, I generally save my longer, more polished articles for "FAV".  And that hasn't left me with a place to share my shorter, less fully developed, Seth Godinesque posts.

I had planned to simply start blogging at clintwatson.com again.  However, I really don't want to bore you, my dear artists, with all the technical stuff I post there regarding "git version control", "memcached" and load balancers...you know, the stuff that endears me to my geeky colleagues.  I also didn't want to blog about art and marketing on a different domain than FAV for various reasons.

I have finally launched the solution. My new blog, Clintavo on Art, Marketing and Life lives at http://faso.com/clintavo.  This new blog will be updated approximately daily whenever I have something to say, and will be mostly shorter thoughts I have about well....art, marketing and life.  I also plan to have a very simple daily newsletter for those who want a newsletter directly from me.  When I post more developed articles on my new blog, many of them will eventually also be published on FineArtViews, so think of "Clintavo on Art" as a preview of what I'm planning to discuss on FAV, albiet less developed (in most cases).

Not everything I write on this new blog will be about art or marketing (although a lot of it will), but I promise it won't be boring geeky stuff. [1]
