Getting Real

For those of you who joined my email newsletter, welcome!

I can't promise any regular schedule to this newsletter although my rough goal is a few times a week.....but sometimes, weeks may go by if my energies are drawn to other areas, or if I'm not inspired, or if I'm out of town, or if I'm tired, or if I'm invited to a great wine tasting....you get the idea.

In fact, I'm probably breaking every rule of email marketing here.  So be it.  I'm tired of trying to follow all the rules the "experts" lay out.  Half of them are just trying to sell us their products when they write those rules anyway (yeah I'm probably guilty of that from time to time).

With this newsletter, I'm just going to have one rule - to be real...to be human.

No SEO worries, no social media worries, no "going viral" worries.  None of that.

I'm going to write what I think, when inspiration strikes, and share it with you, my readers, on a fairly irregular schedule.

Thanks for reading.

Sincerely,

Clint Watson

I have to say, quite frankly, I'm looking forward to it, Clint. Refreshing.

looking forward to it.

Refreshing. Basically a non commercial view from the gut. Looking forward.

Dear Clint,
Looking forward to reading your musings. Always interesting and "real". Speaking from the heart as you do,makes more of an impression. All the advice we recieve about marketing seems overwhelming and leaves little time for the studio if one were to follow diligently.Everyone needs to follow their own inner voice according to their circumstances. As a Canadian,I find one has to be careful not to follow the American model too close as our culture is different. One must not appear to put oneself forward, nor send too many news letters too often.Snide comments happen when personal contact is made especially from female acquaintances and one is put back in place.Very tricky situation.Being artist is a humbling experience up here. I digress.
Clint, I like the way you think and speak your mind.

Thank you,
Katherine
