My Mirror
In my recent interview I made the following comments: "soul mates aren’t found. Soul mates are made." and "you almost become a new being with a shared soul." (Of course, speaking about my wife)
I find this idea echoed in some really cool lyrics in Justin Timberlake's new song, "Mirrors" (a beautifully written song, which I heard was about his desire to have his relationship with his wife be as strong and loving as his grandparents, whom you'll see the song is dedicated to in the opening scene of the video) when he says:
"'Cause I don't wanna lose you now, I'm looking right at the other half of me" &
"It's like you're my mirror. My mirror staring back at me" &
"And now it's clear as this promise that we're making two reflections into one"
If you ever, stumble across this blog post, PJ, you're my mirror.
And, if you, dear reader, are lucky enough to have a mirror, make sure to take time to be thankful for that blessing.
